Şenol Güneş: “We were the favorites in this game. We wanted to win this game by playing well. A 2-0 score could’ve been 4-5-6 too. We were in control of the game in the second half. We want our players to play like champions. We saw our flaws today. We should be more concentrated every match. We played well, but if we include our opponent in the match, there’s no difference between us and our opponent. There is no chance to make a mistake. I told my players the same thing. We deserved 3 points and I want to congratulate my players, but at the same time I will keep showing them their mistakes. We are a good team.”

Atınç Nukan: “I congratulate my brothers. We got 3 points by playing well. This was an important week for us, with our opponents facing each other. We played well and could’ve killed the game off earlier, but the important thing was to get 3 points. I think there was no contact before the penalty position, but I need to rewatch it. We won and that is the important thing.”

Andreas Beck: “We are happy that we got 3 points. We have important games in front of us. We played well in the first half, but we should have killed the game off then, just like we should have scored a third goal against Trabzonspor. We are now going to rest. We have an important and decisive game in front of us. I played as a left-back in Germany so many times. I try to do my best.”

Vincent Aboubakar: “You evaluate my individual performance. I want to thank Oguzhan for his pass before my goal. It was important to win tonight. This victory increases our confidence before our game against Benfica. This was the important thing for us.”

Tolgay Arslan: “This game and the game against Trabzonspor were very similar. I could have helped the team relax by scoring a goal. Now we have a big game against Benfica. We want to get 3 points. I will watch the derby [Fenerbahçe – Galatasaray], but it doesn’t matter who wins. We could have scored 4-5-6 goals. We should be 100% ready for the Benfica match. We will see where we stand in 5 games. I hope we will see we are a big team.”
