Beşiktaş are looking to add another winger to their squad come January and one of the names on their list is former Liverpool, Ajax and Kasimpaşa man Ryan Babel who currently plays for Deportivo La Coruña.

Babel started his career in the youth academy of Ajax and made a reputation for himself as a hot prospect while playing for the senior squad before joining Liverpool in 2007. After four years at Anfield Babel moved to the German Bundesliga where he played together with Andreas Beck at Hoffenheim. Following two seasons at Hoffenheim he had another quick stop over at Ajax before signing for Kasimpaşa in 2013.

At Kasimpaşa Babel had two successful seaszons which earned him a lucrative move to Al Ain, but he and his family found it difficult to settle in Dubai. A move back to Turkey was reportedly considered during the Summer with Beşiktaş showing some interest, but eventually Babel signed a six month deal with Deportivo La Coruña.

Beşiktaş have now however renewed their interest in Babel as they are looking to add another winger to their squad. With Babel’s deal running out at the end of this month he would be a free agent, as he already knows the Turkish league quite well it would likely not take him too long to settle in with the Black Eagles.
