Ryan Babel

“We were ready mentally.”

“We knew the conditions were going to be tough. However, the pitch conditions were better than we expected. We played with high concentration and won. When I got injured, I twisted my ankle. It doesn’t look bad. When we return to Istanbul, they’re going to check it out.”

Anderson Talisca

“It was a very tough match.”

“The conditions made the match even tougher. We couldn’t play the way we wanted to. We’re leaving here victorius with our fans’ support. In the goal, I didn’t just hit the ball for the sake of hitting the ball. When I strike, I always look at the goalkeepers continuously. When you do it like this, the goals come. We also need to congratulate Osmanlıspor. They have a quality side.”

Gökhan Gönül

“It was a tough game on the road, but we got the 3 points.”

“At the beginning of the match, I got tackled in the knee. I kept on playing, but the pain continued. I told my coach that I had to come out. Hopefully the pain won’t last long. If my coach approves, I’ll play against Alanya. Tonight was one of the toughest away matches and when you also add the conditions into the equation, it made it even tougher. Now, we have the Alanyaspor match ahead of us. Hopefully we’ll be able to get a win there too. I need to thank the fans. They filled up their part of the stands and supported us until the end.”

Şenol Güneş

“We deserved to win”

“It was the last match of the first half of the season. If we were to drop points this match, it would’ve been a problem. There was better weather and pitch conditions than expected. The opponent also had important players missing. Our team had great concentration. Even though the opponent didn’t come at us, we stayed behind a lot and when we attacked, we were effective. Overall, we were the team that deserved to win. Osmanlıspor are on an extraodinary rise. It was the match of the week for me. I shared all the information regarding transfers with our president. Therefore, he makes the transfers. Our job is to coach. We just share our thoughts with the board.”
