Metin Albayrak sheds some light on striker rumours

Earlier tonight Beşiktaş got a 1-4 win over Alanyaspor. After that game, club official Metin Albayrak made a statement about Demba Ba and Mario Mandžukić. Here is what he had to say:

“We aren’t going to buy someone just for the sake of buying someone. We have made transfers for the positions we needed. In the winter break the players we want aren’t very possible to get. We are in negotations with 1 or 2 players, but a transfer also might not happen. Demba Ba made his wish to return clear to us, but he isn’t on the agenda. Ba knows the team and is a good player. Nobody can refuse a Demba Ba in form. He suffered a severe injury however. Mandžukić is also not on our agenda.”

Since Albayrak’s statements last night however news has come out that Demba Ba will be undergoing a medical check up with the Black Eagles, if he passes the medical he could come back on a loan deal.
