Portuguese international Ricardo Quaresma has committed his future to Beşiktaş by signing a new 3 year contract extention, keeping him at the club until the 31st of May 2020.

Therefore the 33-year old fan favourite is more than likely to end his active footballing career with the Black Eagles as he’ll be 36 by the time his contract expires.

Beşiktaş are yet to make an official announcement regarding Quaresma’s contract extention but the Turkish Football Federation have already received a request to extend his license until 2020, as indicated on their official website; meaning the deal is officially done, merely awaiting an official announcement.

Ricardo Quaresma first joined Beşiktaş in the Summer of 2011 but departed in January 2013. After an Arab adventure with Al Ahli and a two year return to FC Porto he found his way back to the Black Eagles in the Summer of 2015, helping the team to their first Turkish League championship since 2009. In this season’s edition of the UEFA Champions League he was one of Beşiktaş’ key performers with 3 goals and 3 assists. So far this season he has scored 5 goals and provided 12 assists across all competitions, showing no indication of slowing down.
