The Beşiktaş board of directors are planning to offer head coach Şenol Güneş a new 4 year deal according to reports.

Şenol Güneş signed a 2 year deal at the start of the 2015/16 season and led the Black Eagles to their first league title since 2009 and is currently on course to win a second consecutive title. The former Trabzonspor boss’s deal expires at the end of the season but Beşiktaş want to tie him down for the forseeable future.

Şenol Güneş turns 65 at the end of the season but has shown no signs of slowing down, if he signs a new 4 year deal with the Black Eagles that could imply he aims to see out his coaching career with Beşiktaş. The experienced coach has quickly gained the love and admiration of the Beşiktaş fans and a second title in a row could cement his legacy as one of the best Turkish coaches in history, having been runner-up four times with Trabzonspor and leading Turkey to a third place finish at the 2002 World Cup in Japan/South Korea.
