Luiz Rhodolfo joined Beşiktaş last season on a € 3,3 million transfer fee from Brazilian club Grémio and for a while looked like a rock in the Beşiktaş defence. However, following a severe knee injury in early 2016 the Brazilian has struggled to find his previous form and more importantly his confidence.

Rhodolfo featured in 27 matches for the Black Eagles last season but since returning from his injury at the start of the current season has found himself with little playing time. Rhodolfo’s chapter with the Black Eagles seems to be drawing to a close and he has attracted the interest of Brazilian giants Flamengo who have now entered in to negotaitions with Beşiktaş over the 30 year old’s transfer fee.

Flamengo have initially offered a fee of € 1,25 million but Beşiktaş want to recuperate atleast € 2 million from their investment in the player, negotiations are ongoing.
