Beşiktaş have activated the option in Anderson Talisca’s contract to extend his loan for an additional year.

The Black Ealges had loaned Benfica’s Anderson Talisca last season with an optional one year extention, which they have now activated. Beşiktaş had already paid a loan fee of €2,5m last season and also had an option-to-buy for €22,5m.

An additional €2,5m will now be paid for the season long loan, but the buyout clause has been reduced by the same amount to €20m.

Benfica had bought Anderson Talisca for a total fee of €4m from the Brazilian club Bahia, by loaning him out to Beşiktaş for two seasons they’ve alraedy made a €1m profit on their investment. Although Talisca did cost them that €1m by scoring a last minute equalizer against them in the Champions League group stages at the Estadio de Luz where it ended 1-1, giving Benfica a bonus of just €500k (for a draw) instead of €1,5m (for a win).
