Over the past couple of days Beşiktaş vice-president Ahmet Nur Çebi has been conducting negotiations with Şenol Güneş and his agent Deniz Türker over a contract extention.

Şenol Güneş signed a 2+1 year deal at the start of the 2015/16 season and led Beşiktaş to two successive league titles. Beşiktaş had already opted to trigger the one year extention clause under the conditions of the initial contract which saw Şenol Güneş earn €1,5m per year with a €500k Championship bonus.

Şenol Güneş requested to revise that deal in exchange for an additional year to be added to his contract. Güneş will now be making a guaranteed €2,5m per season in addition of a €1m Championship bonus should lead the Black Eagles to yet another league title.
