Beşiktaş and Chelsea close to Rémy deal

After the departure of topscorer Demba Ba, the Black Eagles are now on the hunt for a worthy replacement up front.

In this search they’ve focussed their gaze on Chelsea forward Loïc Rémy (28). Chelsea announced the loan of Colombian forward Radamel Falcao only yesterday making Rémy surplus at the Blues.

Beşiktaş, who have a good relationship with Chelsea, have enquired about loaning the 28-year old French striker on a season loan with option to buy.

Chelsea announced only last week that Rémy would remain at the club but have now reportedly accepted Beşiktaş’ offer to loan the player with an option to buy.

However the Blues want € 11 million for Rémy if Beşiktaş were to decide to acquire him on a more permanent basis.

Beşiktaş officials were reportedly shocked by the steep demands made by Chelsea and are hoping to bring the option down to around € 8 million.

If both teams can agree on a fee in the coming days, this transfer is likely to go through. Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman is rumored to be in London right now. This could be for either Loïc Rémy or Fulham’s Kostas Mitroglou (or both).
