Uli Ferber, agent of Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez, says there is no deal in place for his client’s departure, but there are talks with several clubs including Beşiktaş.

It was reported on Sunday that the Germany international was on the verge of signing a three-year deal with the Black Eagles after a € 6 million bid was reportedly accepted.

Uli Ferber denied that a deal was already in place however when speaking to German outlet Sport1.de.

“There are negotiations going on with several different clubs, including Beşiktaş, but nothing has been signed or agreed on yet. Nothing is decided.”

Beşiktaş have turned their gaze to the German international and former Bayern München striker after selling Demba Ba to Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua for a club record fee of € 13 million last month.

Mario Gomez was among the Fiorentina players who travelled to the USA yesterday for the club’s pre-season training camp. But a departure seems inevitable as the German’s spell at the Firenze club has not turned out to be a success due to many injury issues.
