Friendly match: Beşiktaş: 2 Nice: 2

Updated: July 26, 2015

Beşiktaş have drawn their second friendly game in two days time, playing 2-2 against French opponent Nice. The Black Eagles played a pretty decent game and were the better side, but a couple of unconcentrated moments in the defence cost them the win. Beşiktaş now couldn’t win their third friendly in a row. This was however the first friendly game in the 2015-2016 season in which the club succeedeed in scoring, since they were not able to score against Sturm Graz (0-2) and Lille (0-0) in the earlier played friendly games. New transfers Quaresma and Rhodolfo were once again not a part of the match squad.

Beşiktaş XI: Günay Güvenç, Beck (46′ Olcay Şahan), Ersan Gülüm (72′ Milosevic), Pedro Franco (77′ Tosic), Motta (70′ Muhammed Enes Durmuş), Serdar Kurtuluş, Necip Uysal (86′ Hamza Küçükköylü), Gökhan Töre (46′ Cenk Tosun), Sosa (63′ İsmail Köybaşı), Kerim Frei (46′ Oğuzhan Özyakup), Mustafa Pektemek (68′ Eslem Öztürk)

Head coach: Şenol Güneş

Nice XI: Pouplin, Gregoire Puel (61′ Honorat), Le Marchand (61′ Benrahma), Bodmer (60′ Borges Varela), Hult (46′ Boscagli), Koziello (46′ Traore), Nampalys Mendy (59′ Paulin Puel), Seri (59′ Gomis), Germain (59′ Rafetraniaina), Plea (60′ Alexandre Mendy), Ben Arfa (46′ Eysseric)

Head coach: Claude Puel

Goals: Plea (45′), Tosun (61′), Mendy (64′), Necip (82′)

Cenk Tosun had this to say after the game about a possible transfer of Mario Gómez: “We are training two times a day and we are working very hard. I believe we have 3 good Turkish strikers. Bringing in a foreign striker is something the board should decide on. If he comes, there will be more competition. Success follows competition.”

These are the remaining friendly games of Beşiktaş at the Austria camp:

29-07: Beşiktaş – NK Zavr
01-08: Beşiktaş – Atalanta
