Beşiktaş swoop in for Juraj Kucka!

After Lucas Leiva’s transfer from Liverpool stagnated, Beşiktaş turned their attention to alternatives.

Beşiktaş have now agreed a transfer fee of € 2,5 million for Genoa’s Slovakian midfielder Juraj Kucka. Kucka had been strongly linked with Bursaspor over the past week but now it looks like he might just be Beşiktaş’ solution in midfield after both Tolgay Arslan and Veli Kavlak were lost to longterm injuries.

Haber1903 are reporting that this transfer expected to reach a positive conclusion as early as tonight. Kucka can play both as a defensive midfielder and in a more offensive role, he has made 39 appearances for Slovakia in which he scored 4 goals. In addition he has made over 120 Serie A appearances since joining Genoa in January 2011.
