Matchday 29

With 6 more games left in the 2015-2016 season the Black Eagles travel to Sivas for the first of two consecutive away games. Beşiktaş are currently 5 points clear at the top of the table and will want to keep it that way but in order to do so they’ll have to overcome Sivasspor, who are currently in the mid of a heated relegation battle.

The hosts are currently 3 points removed from safety and booked their third Süper Lig win of 2016 this past weekend away at Gaziantepspor. While the Black Eagles won their first ever home game at Vodafone Arena against Bursaspor.

With Quaresma suspended, will Gökhan Töre be taking his place back in the team since returning from injury?

With Quaresma suspended, will Gökhan Töre be taking his place back in the team since returning from injury?

Beşiktaş will have to do without Ricardo Quaresma, who received two yellow cards in the space of two minutes at the end of the heated battle with Bursaspor this past Monday, but the Black Eagles have also recovered Gökhan Töre from injury. The biggest question for the Black Eagles will be whether or not Töre will actually take his place in the team instead of the suspended Quaresma, or will Kerim Frei get another start? With the Kerim – Olcay pairing not working out too well two weeks ago it would seem more likely that Töre would get to start again for the first time since his surgery a month ago.

With rivals Fenerbahçe playing on Sunday the Black Eagles would do well to win their match in order to crank up the pressure on their only remaining rival for the 2015-2016 Süper Lig championship.

Beşiktaş predicted XI:

Tolga Zengin; Andreas Beck – Alexis Delgado – Marcelo Guedes – İsmail Köybaşı; Atiba Hutchinson – Oguzhan Özyakup – José Sosa; Gökhan Töre (Kerim Frei) – Olcay Şahan – Mario Gómez
