Coming off a promising start in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League with a 1-1 draw away at Benfica, the Black Eagles have another difficult away game on their schedule as they face Akhisar Belediyespor in Manisa.

Beşiktaş have yet to beat Akhisar on the road since their promotion to the Süper Lig four years ago. Last season the match ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, while the seasons before the match ended respectively in 1-1 (2014/15), 3-3 again (2013/14) and 4-1 (2012/13).

The Black Eagles will play in their white shirts, white trunks and white socks tonight against Akhisar Belediyespor

To say the least Akhisar have been a thorn in Beşiktaş’ side ever since they achieved promotion to the Süper Lig in 2012. Especially on the road, although Akhisar even beat the Black Eagles last eason at the Başakşehir stadium, one of only five defeats for them in the league last season as they won the Süper Lig title.

One of the Akhisar’s players that has been a standout performer in the head to head confrontations last season was Colombian striker Hugo Rodallega, he even scored a hattrick during the 3-3 draw at the 19 Mayis stadium.

With a high tempo game against Benfica in their legs Beşiktaş coach Şenol Güneş will once again conduct several rotations in his team in order to rest players while giving playing opportunities to others.

Anderson Talisca who saved a point for the Black Eagles against Benfica with a phenomenal second half stoppage time free-kick is expected to start while goalkeeper Fabricio is also likely to get his second consecutive start in the Süper Lig. Gökhan Gönül and Tolgay Arslan are also expected to once again appear at the kick-off after both sat out the match against Benfica. In midfield either Gökhan İnler or Atiba Hutchinson will be given some rest while Oğuzhan Özyakup, who picked up an injury against Benfica, has not been included in the squad at all.

Akhisar Belediyespor XI:

Fatih Öztürk; Miguel Lopes – Douglão – Caner Osmanpaşa – Kadir Keleş; N’Guemo – Custodio – Soner Aydoğdu; Ricardo Vaz Té – Sami – Hugo Rodallega

Beşiktaş predicted XI:

Fabricio; Gökhan Gönul – Marcelo Guedes – Dusko Tosic – Caner Erkin; Atiba Hutchinson – Tolgay Arslan – Anderson Talisca; Olcay Şahan – Ömer Şişmanoğlu – Cenk Tosun
