Gençlerbirliği – Beşiktaş post-match reactions

Updated: October 28, 2016

“Inler has a broken bone, Lig TV isn’t neutral”

Şenol Güneş: “If you look at the first 45 minutes our opponent didn’t score a goal but we scored one ourselves. We had a lot of negative things in the first half but we let our opponent score the goal. We were eager in the second half but missed a lot of chances and lost 2 points. We didn’t get the result we deserved for our efforts in the second half. We lost 2 points because of our own mistake today. Gökhan Inler didn’t play because he has a broken bone in his foot. We will look at Inler’s, Atiba’s and Oguzhan’s situations again. Lig TV isn’t neutral. We had 3 situations against us last week but they didn’t show any of them. Today 4 minutes were added on but an injured player himself was on the floor for 4 minutes. Let’s see how that will be in other games.”

“You should win these games”

Adriano Correia: “It was a difficult match. We were bad in the first half, but different in the second half. You become champions with these games, you should win these. We lost 2 points here. We should keep our head up high and look at the next games. Next week we should play like in the second half today. That’s the only way we can become successful.”

“You win the championship with these games”

Ricardo Quaresma: “You win the championship with these games. This was one of the more difficult games. We now have a Champions League game. We are now looking at that. We gifted the first half today. We were good in the second half. We should play like today in the second half and should now concentrate on our next games. We shouldn’t be alarmed. The league is a long marathon. We want to finish the league as champions this year too.”

“I can play anywhere in midfield”

Tolgay Arslan: “We got a lot of chances but couldn’t find a goal. We deserved 3 points today. We now have a Napoli and league game in front of us. We want to get 6 points and have a good national break. Today I started as a number 6. Later I played as a number 8 and 10. I can play anywhere in midfield. I know my teammates very well. We have a big squad and have good players. I trust everyone.”
