Beşiktaş achieved an easy 3-0 victory over Darıca Gençlerbirliği on Thursday in the Ziraat Turkish cup group stages. With one match left to be played the Black Eagles are already certain of finishing in top place in their group.

Veli Kavlak made his first start of the season following extensive injury woes, the 28 year old midfielder wore the Captain’s armband before being subbed off at halftime for Necip Uysal. Matej Mitrovic made his official debut for the Black Eagles and helped the team to a clean sheet.

Beşiktaş opened the scoring through Andreas Beck in the 19th minute, although it looked like the German was slightly offside before scoring. Ricardo Quaresma doubled the lead 14 minutes later while Aras Özbiliz rounded off the victory with his first official goal for Beşiktaş in the 70th minute: 3-0.

The Black Eagles now have 13 points from 5 matches in the cup group stages, 6 more than second placed Kayserispor whom Beşiktaş will face on the final matchday.

Beşiktaş will play rivals Fenerbahçe at Vodafone Arena in the next round which is a direct knock-out confrontation, meaning Beşiktaş will have the home advantage.
